Lyrics
Come over here,
It’s just that I want you near and I
I’ve got to be going and I’m
Heading home
That’s where I’m that’s where I’m going though
Now I’ll just close my eyes with you
And I’m fine,
With you on my mind
I’ve had to take
Deep breaths today for
Your not here to take my
Breath away
And I stumble looking for the
Words to say for
Today,
Hasn’t been my day
Open your eyes,
I’m still by your side
And I won’t be going
Very far,
Cause where ever you are
Is where I’ll be
Coming home
Nevermore to roam
about the song
Over the summer I got a new PowerMac G5 and, with it, some inexpensive Shure microphones and a small pre-amp. After all the pieces arrived along with a new mic stand, I came home late from work that night and sat down, plugged everyting in, loaded up Garageband, and wrote and recorded this song all in about an hour and a half because along with new equipment, I felt, should come a new song.
