I believe that checking this site three to four times a week is one of defining characteristics of a "tortured soul" as described by the DSM IV.

I'm sorry to have kept you waiting this long and would promise to post more often but I don't want to add to your suffering (such that it is).

Maybe Bill can lay down some "un"-tortured bass tracks to my guitar plucking tunes? That would only add to my happiness, however, and, perhaps, would not bode well for future postings on this site.

At the risk of exposing my hopeful and naive nature, I have regularly been checking this blog over the course of the past year. By "regularly", I mean three or four times a week! Sadly, my hope was destroyed by the words "My Way, Right Away" time and time again.
It was with surprise and wonder that I read the title "Happy New Year". In fact, I did a double-take.
I was pleased to learn that you were not dead in a ditch somewhere. I was likewise sorry to learn that happiness brings you such angst. Poor Damon!
Bill maintains that he never became a rock star because his soul just wasn't tortured enough. I think that having an "un"tortured soul is, as Martha Stewart so blandly puts it, "a good thing". I believe you, Mr. Optimizer, are exploring your options.
